Musical Harmonies

Youth4Youth was very excited to be invited to hold another STEM session for our students at ESF Quarry Bay School and ESF Bradbury School! This time, the students explored chords using Chrome Music Labs to understand how musical compositions could be created. Students also explored Texture, a software that allows you to manipulate and experiment with audio loops, colours and volume levels. The software is used in industry to provide ambience and atmosphere for synth music and sonic inspiration for soundtracking.

The main activity of the session was to have the students create their own drum and bass composition using Roland50 Studio, a free online music-making tool with synths and drum machines. We really enjoyed hearing the students' musical compositions!
